The Sime Darby Scholarship and bursaries are open to qualified and deserving Malaysian students and are offered by Yayasan Sime Darby (YSD) or the Sime Darby Foundation. The scholarship is available for students with leadership qualities for certificates, diplomas, and undergraduate studies at local and foreign academic institutions.
To promote vocational courses, certifications, diplomas, and undergraduate degrees, YSD provides financial aid to well-rounded, deserving Malaysian students who exhibit exceptional academic accomplishment, leadership abilities, and active engagement in community service.

Eligibility Requirements for Sime Darby Scholarship
- Must be a Malaysian student.
- The age of applicants is 25 years or below.
- Applicants must actively take part in community service.
- Applicant must complete STPM/ Pre-University/ Local Matriculation/ Diploma / Foundation with a minimum CGPA of 3.30.
- Gross household income of RM11,000 or less per month.
- Applicant must demonstrate strong leadership qualities through various leadership positions in school, sporting events, and national or global competitions.
YSD Special Needs Bursary
Promising People with Disability (PWD) undergraduate or diploma students are eligible to apply for the Yayasan Sime Darby bursary for the September intake to pursue tertiary education at any recognized Malaysian higher learning institution.
Service Bond Period
Recipients of bursaries are exempt from serving a scholarship bond at Sime Darby Property Berhad, SD Guthrie Berhad, or Sime Darby Berhad.

- All fields of study are accepted by YSD except medicine

- Candidates who are enrolled in college or who have received a firm or conditional offer from any accredited higher education institution in Malaysia that has been approved by the Malaysian Qualifications Agency (MQA) are both invited to apply to YSD.

Eligibility Requirements
- Must be a Malaysian student.
- The age of applicants is 25 years or below.
- For Diploma applicants, it is necessary to obtain a minimum of five (5) credits in SPM.
- For an undergraduate degree applicants must complete STPM/ Pre-University/ Local Matriculation/ Diploma / Foundation with a minimum CGPA of 2.50.
- Applicants with physical disabilities (OKU card holders).
