Maybank Scholarship is awarded to talented students with high potential in their academic and extra-curricular activities who also demonstrate outstanding leadership qualities. The full scholarship is open to students who get awards from prestigious universities in Malaysia, Australia, the United Kingdom and the United States of America.
Through this program, almost 2,000 Malaysian students have had the opportunity to attend some of the world’s top-tier universities and receive excellent undergrad education in various subjects relevant to banking and finance. Providing scholarships to deserving Malaysian students to continue their education has been essential to Maybank’s CSR (corporate social responsibility) initiatives since 1972.

Eligibility Requirements
Applicants must meet the eligibility requirements for the Maybank Group Scholarship Programme, given below;
For Malaysian Local Students
- The annual gross household income should not exceed RM120,000.
- The age of applicants is not more than 22 years.
- Currently, applicants must enrol in any of the public local universities listed below for their first year of undergraduate studies:

- The annual gross household income should not exceed RM180,000.
- The age of applicants is not more than 22 years.
- Must have been granted admission to a few prestigious colleges in the USA, Australia, or the UK to pursue a full-time degree (obtained admission letter or condition letter offer).
- Must completed any comparable pre-university course, including foundation, STPM, matriculation, diploma, etc.

Application Process
The application process is online for the Maybank Group Scholarship Programme in Malaysia. Maybank conducts a rigorous and robust selection process to choose the recipient of the scholarship. The selection committee will then require that the shortlisted candidates undergo several tests and interviews.
Important Note:
- Candidates are not eligible to apply who are currently receiving any other awards or scholarships.
- The applications will not be accepted if submitted after the specified closing date.
- The staff of Maybank Group is not eligible to apply for the Maybank Scholarship. However, confirmed employees may apply for the scholarship if their relatives or children meet the requirements.
